We are the first Kurdish café in Liverpool, serving hot drinks, patisseries, pastries and cakes from Kurdistan (the northern region of Iraq). The owner and the staff are from Kurdistan region of Iraq and they ensure that customers are served to highest standards with the same warming etiquette as done in Kurdistan.
our café named after Sherko Bekas who was one of the most prominent poet in Kurdish history. His father Fayaq was also a poet. Bekas published his first book when he was only 17 years old, and he was described as the voice of Kurdistan.
We hope our café becomes the hub for enlightening Kurdish culture to the people of Liverpool and share our delecious food with everyone in the city.
When you next visit the café, feel free to ask our staff to tell you more about Kurdistan region of Iraq and the lives of our famous poets while waiting for our signature Kurdish Coffee to be brewed for you.
